Interview with Toby Fox about the soundtrack for.. You know, that movie about cubic game.

Q: How did it happen that you agreed to work on a theme song for a game like Minecraft?

Toby: Oh, it's... there was a rather unexpected moment. I can't say that everything happened in a planned way. It was just suggested to me, and... well, I thought, why not? I've always been a big fan of video games, and... you know, when you get the chance to work with something so iconic, you have to agree.

Q: What was the work process like?

Toby: To be honest, it was amazing.. simply. After working hard for the OFF topic, it was almost like a vacation. I could say that I was able to take some time off and shift my attention away from my projects. Sometimes it can be very useful, you know.

Q: Did you have any creative freedom, or were you given clear instructions on style and sound?

Toby: They told me they wanted something... something special. They did not impose any strict restrictions. Of course, there are certain expectations, but I always try to make everything sound sincere, so that the music supports the atmosphere created by the game.

Q: When will the Minecraft Movie be released?

Toby: I don't know, we can only wait for the release from Mojang... But maybe tomorrow... Who knows...

Q: If you were offered to continue working on something similar in the future, would you agree?

Toby: Sure. I love new creative opportunities, and if there's a chance to work with something like that, I'll always be open. Who knows, maybe there will be something in the future... even more interesting. But so far, yes, I'm glad I was able to do my bit.
